Beijing Universal Resort and Beijing Universal City Avenue officially opened to the public on September 20, 2021. The opening ceremony was held at the Universal Splendor Theater in Beijing Universal Studios. The first group of tourists were welcomed at 12:00 on the same day.

Produced and supplied by ThemeMax Technology Co., LTD., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hexagon, the themed props such as City Avenue themed carts, minions, Jurassic World themed props and peach trees of Kung Fu Panda were unveiled, attracting many tourists.
